Steel Door Installation Service from 

Should you prefer your steel door to be installed by us we can assure you that our Steel Door Installation Service includes:

  • All operatives engaged within these work procedures will be suitably trained, experienced personnel.
  • All works carried out will be under the direct supervision of a named Supervisor.
  • Operatives will report to site a contact and attend site induction if required.
  • An Installation Site Risk Assessment will be completed. Once it has been deemed safe to proceed with the installation, work will begin.
  • Before work begins it will be checked that all parts are present. If more than one doorset is being installed identification numbers of each item will related to each door. The doorsets will be stored as close to the opening as possible in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
  • Upon completion of the installation the engineers will ensure that all packaging and material off cuts are disposed of appropriately and that the area in general is left clean and tidy.
  • The client will be shown the door in operation and approval signatures will be obtained.

Safe Working Method

  • Manual handling regulations will be complied with.
  • All power tools, and equipment used in the installation of our doors are PAT tested, but should you wish to re-test them we will make them available.
  • Each member of the installation team is trained to carry out the specific installation in a safe working practice.
  • While on site we will follow the site rules as applicable.
  • We have our own policy on the reporting of accidents, near misses, and potential hazards which will include any such event being reported on site.
  • COSHH is evaluated as part of the Site Risk Assessment.

Installing Door Stops

Positioning the Contact Point of the Stop on the LeafIt is crucial to position the contact point of the door stop on the leaf 5 cm from the edge, on the side opposite the hinges. This setup ensures no deformation of the leaf and prevents marking of the sheet metal.Leaves up to 250 cm in Height

Floor Stop: A floor-mounted door stop is recommended for leaves up to 220 cm in height.Wall Stop: A wall-mounted door stop is recommended for leaves up to 220 cm in height. It is essential to ensure that the leaf can open to 180° without obstruction.

Mid-Height Stop: A mid-height door stop installed on a metal post is recommended for leaves up to 250 cm in height.Leaves Over 250 cm in HeightDouble Wall Stop: A double door stop, installed at both the upper and lower parts of the wall, is recommended for leaves over 250 cm in height.High and Low Stops: A double door stop, positioned both at the floor and at a height on a metal angle frame, is recommended for leaves over 250 cm in height that open to 90°.
